I have a Tasca/Asuka M4A1 DV, and looking at the grouser covers. they are the "square" type indicating the tank was built by Pressed Steel Car Company. My question is did these grouser covers have screen/mesh covers like the "oval" style of grouser covers? I have looked in all the resources that I have, and was unable to find a answer. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated, Joel Smith.
Yes, Joel. An image of a 2nd Armoured Brigade HQ Sherman II at El Alamein published in Concord's "British Sherman Tanks" book clearly shows th cross-hatch pattern of the mesh screen. I'd assume that the debris screen was standard regardless of the shape of the grouser cover.

Thanks, Greg! I was beginning to think everybody was mad at me, considering the last 3 posts I posted got no replies. PS, I have finished assembly of the M4A4 HVSS hull and proudly report no problems! As soon as I figure out my Wife's camera I will post photos, Joel.

Nah, not in my case at least. I've just been preoccupied. Until this week, we've had a couple of weeks of mostly good weather so I've been busy detailing & driving my convertible. And trying to work up the motivation to get back to the bench...going through one of my periods of creative burnout these days, where I'm not really inspired. It will pass; it always does.

I don't have a choice, the wife has gotten too attached to the little bugger! I thought we were getting a dachshund not a tunnel rat, Joel.
Get a kick out of how the dog was suppose to be for the kids at my house, but it is me who walks him, feeds him, me who he wakes up in the middle of the night to let him out, and has to clean up the back yard after him. Yet I have become attached to the little stinker go figure.

Hehe, sorry for not responding, I haven't been around much, really busy time of year and several non Sherman projects going.
